Cherry Lane, Woodrow

High House

High House is the base of London Youth who, according to their website, “creates memorable experiences for more than 7000 young people every year. This includes schools, youth groups, charities, faith groups and many more”. However, it is also the haunting ground of the Green lady of Woodrow. The Green lady of Woodrow is reputedly Lady Helena Stanhope, part of one of the richest 17th century English families. According to a description by Matthews, this “eerie phantom” is a “tall and remarkably beautiful woman dressed all in green”. However, she is surrounded in a green glow, that if seen must be quite disconcerting. She has been reported in the house itself as well as the lanes outside.
