Shenley End Church

The Thorn Tree

Set a reminder in your diary for 24th December. It is said that at midnight on Christmas Eve, a holy thorn tree blossoms in Shenley Church End, although Coxe does not state exactly where. He does state that at his time of writing the tree appeared to be dying.

However, research indicates that the thorn tree was in a local churchyard and one of the local schools is named after it.
