A view towards Kimbolton Castle

Kimbolton Castle

Kimbolton Castle is a country house, renowned as the final home of King Henry VIII's first wife, Catherine of Aragon.

It was originally a medieval castle but converted into a stately palace, becoming the family seat of the Dukes of Manchester from 1615 until 1950. It now houses Kimbolton School.

It is reputedly haunted by Catherine of Aragon, who was imprisoned here for the last two years of her life. Her apparition is described as being pale and drifting peacefully through the building.
