The Headless Woman Pub

Sadly, the Headless Woman Pub was knocked down in 2014. However, this may not stop the haunting associated with the building, as the ghost concerned frequented other parts of the village.

According to the author, Guy Playfair, the headless apparition of a female servant murdered and beheaded by Civil War soldiers, haunted the premises. Naturally, she is said the carry her head under her arm.
