Rostherne Mere is all that now remains of the expanse of water that stretched from Alderley Edge to High Legh. A mermaid is said to sing here and ring a bell.

Rostherne is a civil parish and village in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is located 31 miles northeast of Chester.
