St. Peter’s Well

St. Peter’s Well is located on a steep climb west out of Polperro. The author Coxe states in 'Haunted Britain' that the well had properties to cure sore eyes and should be visited fasting three mornings before sunrise.

Polperro (Cornish: Porthpyra, meaning Pyra's cove) is a village and fishing harbour on the southeast Cornwall coast, England.

Polperro, through which runs the River Pol, is 4 miles west of the neighbouring town of Looe and 25 miles west of the major city and naval port of Plymouth.
