Croglin Grange was reputedly the haunt of a “unidentified solid apparition, presumed to be a vampire” originating from the either the 16th or 19th century, depending on the source.

Croglin is a quiet picturesque fellside village between the Pennines and the River Eden, about 14 miles southeast of Carlisle.
