Buckland Church

A Sacrificial Rite

Until some point in the early part of the 20th century, an unusual custom still took place in Buckland-in-the-Moor, similar to that found in Holne. The custom would involve a ram being brought from the moor and killed, although here the blood would be sprinkled on those present rather than what took place in Holne.
