Lewtrenchard Manor

Lewtrenchard Manor

According to sources, some former residents have continued to linger at Lewtrenchard Manor (pictured above). These include ghosts of Margaret Belfield (referred to as “Old Madam”) who haunts the Long Gallery; and the tragic Susannah Gould who collapsed and died in the driveway immediately after her marriage on 19th March 1729. It is now a luxurious country hotel.
