According to the author Coxe in 'Haunted Britain', the coastguard cottage is reputedly haunted, but he provides no details as to the phenomena.

Acording to reports, a “galloping ghost” is said to ride through the village to the Church (pictured above), and it is suggested that it is a centurion.

Bradwell-on-Sea is a village in Essex, England.

The village is on the Dengie peninsula. It is located about 5.6 miles north-northeast of Southminster and is 19 miles east from the county town of Chelmsford.
