The Bear Inn

The Bear Inn is reputedly haunted by an ostler, whose body may yet remain concealed in a bacon-curing chamber within one of the chimneys. Jones names this man as one Charlie 'Spider' Marshall, who was something of a character.

Ingatestone Road

The Stock to Ingatestone Road, at a place called White Tyrells, is haunted by a phantom cavalier.

Stock is a village in south Essex, England.

It is about 6 miles south of Chelmsford, the county town.
