The lodges at Camfield Place

Camfield Place

Camfield Place was the home of the novelist Barbara Cartland (9 July 1901 – 21 May 2000) and previously visited by Beatrix Potter. It was Potter that claimed to have witnessed a dozen candles put out one by one of their own accord. Cartland claimed, along with a number of other witnesses, to have seen the ghost of one of her favourite dogs.
