Ramhurst Manor House

Ramhurst Manor House is a Grade II* Listed Building. The original structure dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with the timber framed house "completely recased externally, and with considerable inside alterations" according to historicengland.org.uk. It is a private residence and NOT OPEN to the public.

 

The house was once the home of the Culpepper family. Reports dating back to the 1850's detail a haunting here. Apparitions of an elderly couple were sighted. Audible phenomena included voices, footsteps, rustling silk and crying.

Leigh, historically spelled Lyghe, is a village in Kent, England.

The village lies six miles south of Sevenoaks town and three miles west of Tonbridge.
