Mannington Hall

Mannington Hall is a moated medieval country house. The first manor house was built on this site in the 15th century. It has been owned by the Walpole family since the 18th century, and is currently occupied by Robert Walpole, 10th Baron Walpole. It is open to the public on selected dates which are found on their website.

According to Coxe, an apparition of a servant was sighted in the library of Mannington Hall on 10th October 1879. Also, a lady connected with the Scalmer family (who were previous owners of the Hall) is said to haunt the nearby churchyard.
