The Ruined Manor House

The author Coxe mentions in ‘Haunted Britain’ that the apparition of a Franciscan Friar, and the audible phenomena of rustling silk haunt the ruined Manor House. This has been attributed to the ghost of one Jane Leeson.

Abthorpe is a village and civil parish in Northamptonshire, England.

It is situated about 4 miles west of Towcester, 2 miles northwest of Silverstone and about midway between London and Birmingham.
