During the late 1800's, repairs to the church were undertaken. However, the process revealed a strange and bizarre discovery in a recess located in one of the church walls. Workmen discovered a mummified human heart. Since that time, the ghostly figure of a monk has been reported in the church. It was reportedly captured on film in 1964.

Woodford is a large village and civil parish in Northamptonshire, England.
It is situated approximately 30 miles northeast of Northampton.
