The Ghost of 'Ungodly Harry'

According to the author Keith B. Poole, the ghost of one 'Ungodly Harry' haunts Longworth. This was Henry Marten (1602 – 9th September 1680), an English lawyer and politician who sat as a Member of Parliament in two periods between 1640 and 1653. He added his signature to the death warrant of King Charles I.

His nickname stems from his reputation as both a heavy drinker and womaniser. Sadly, Poole does not specifically state where his apparition is supposed to appear. Is it about the village or at his family home of Longworth House?

Unconfirmed
