Shipton Court

Shipton Court

Shipton Court (pictured above) was built for the Lacy family in 1603. It is now a grade II* listed Jacobean mansion house and is available as luxurious self-catering accommodation. It was reputed to have a haunted room that must have been quite abominable, as it was exorcised and then sealed up. According to the author Coxe, no one knew where in the house this room is.
