Weston Manor

Weston Manor

Weston Manor House is a 15th- or early 16th-century building and is now a hotel. An abbey was founded here in the 12th century. It is reputedly haunted by the ghost of "Mad Maud", a nun who apparently led the local monks astray and was burned at the stake as a consequence of her actions. A feeling of malevolence has also been attributed to Maud. Another phantom is said to be a maid that also haunts the building.

A phantom coach and horses has been reported on the driveway leading to the back yard of the hotel.
