Kinlet Hall is an 18th-century English country house and Grade I listed building. It is now an independent day and residential school and therefore NOT open to the public.
The old manor house that originally stood on the land was replaced around 1727–29 by the building we see today. It was then the home of the Childe family until the 20th century.
According to sources, the original house was reputedly haunted by the ghost of Sir George Blount, who lived during the Elizabeathan era. His ghost would pull up in a phantom carriage and proceed to drive through the house! Then his apparition would seen on horseback around the local area, charging out of a pool near the Hall and making his way towards terrified onlookers.
