At a place called “The Hanging Field” on Shute Shelve Hill (above), there are three apparitions. Coxe terms them the “Unholy Trinity” for they are two men and a woman that were executed for the murder of the woman's husband.

It is situated in the Sedgemoor district on the River Axe, near the southern edge of the Mendip Hills.
