The Holy Well

The Holy Well

This impressive well (pictured above) is set in a large baptistery and around the structure also are seats set around a stone forecourt. According to the author Coxe, the smell of sulphur is “quite noticeable”. The water was used for scorbutic disorders and was very cold.
