Hamilton Stud Lane

Hamilton Stud Lane is haunted by the famous jockey, Fred Archer (January 11, 1857 – November 8, 1886). Suffering from depression following the death of his wife, Fred committed suicide by shooting himself. He was only 29.

Newmarket Racecourse

There are accounts of Archer riding a phantom steed on the Newmarket Racecourse, causing horses to shy or stumble during a race.

Pegasus Stables

According to sources, there have been many reported sightings of Archer on a ghostly white horse at the Pegasus Stables on Snailwell Road.
