The A3 Road

Police were called to the scene of a car that veered off the A3 on 11th December 2002. When they arrived, there was no obvious sign of a vehicle being involved in an accident.

However, an examination of the area uncovered a Vauxhall Astra “nose down in a ditch, covered in brambles and hidden from the road”. It appeared to have been there for some months. However, inside the car was the decomposed, almost skeletal, body of its driver.

Did passing drivers, some of whom apparently stayed on the scene until police arrived to provide their details, witness a re-enactment of the incident that occurred approximately 5 months earlier? It certainly is an intruiging case.

Guildford Castle

Guildford Castle was most likely built shortly after the 1066 Norman invasion of England.

It is reputedly haunted by an "emaciated figure" that appears to children causing them great distress. Electrical heating and lighting have also been interfered with.

Hog's Back

The area known as the Hog’s back on the Pilgrim’s Way is a long and narrow chalk ridge.

Along this area is a disused quarry, which is frequented by a ghostly carrage complete with a “dim lantern’ on the front, and pulled by phantom horses. A spectral driver sits atop the carriage. The vision only appears at night according to Matthews.

Loseley Park

The building (pictured above) is a fine wedding venue and is reputedly haunted by something sinister, which has caused at least one guest in the past to leave without notice.
