Glan Rafon

Bwgan y Parciau

The Bwgan y Parciau (translates as the Parciau Ghost) used to haunt the area of Llanallgo. It was believed to be the ghost of Sir John Bodvel, a 17th century gentleman. Holland describes an encounter with this ghost, whereby the witness describes him appearing riding a white horse. However, she noticed that the rider had cloven hoofs!

Further investigation revealed that it could be the ghost of a pirate named John Wyn ap Hugh of Bodvel, near Pwllheli. It is believed he may have hidden treasure in the vicinity.
