Crumlin

The Purposeful Spirit

Following his death, one Crumlin soul found that he was unable to rest until a certain item was retrieved. He appeared to his friend and the two set about to recover the item he so desperately wanted. It was eventually found under a stone, but much to the living man’s disappointment it was nothing more exciting that a mattock used by the deceased when alive! The spirit instructed the friend to cast the mattock into the river, allowing his soul to rest eternally.

Crumlin Bridge

In the 1700’s, the voice of a disembodied spirit was said to be heard coming from underneath Crumlin Bridge.
