The Cursed Bay

The bay at Borth was once regarded as “demon haunted ground”, a place that was cursed, which may have been the result of the shipwrecks there. One such ship was a Portuguese vessel, which ran aground the Borth Sands. Local fisherman, who believed all hands had perished, stripped it.

However, in their search they discovered the captain, who was barely alive and had seen them looting his ship. He cursed all of the men for their heinous crimes. In panic they killed the captain, stripped his body of any valuables and threw his corpse into the sea. It is said that all seven of the fisherman later perished at sea... And for long after it is said that the screams of the captain have echoed eerily
