A view of Llandysul

Ffynnon Feirad

The ghost of a parson reportedly haunts the area around the well.

River Teifi

A certain part of the river is called “The pool of the Harper”, and it is alleged to be haunted by the ghost of a harpist who was drowned there. Some say that you can hear the sound of his music.

Pontshan

The area was once said to be haunted by a ghost, but descriptions and details are scant, other than a man saw it whilst out walking one evening in times long since past. He actually pulled a knife on the ghost and it faded away!

A Phantom in the Field

In the 19th century, Mrs D Thomas from Llanfair lost her daughter. Naturally, this broke her heart. Some time later, she was in a potato field in Llandysul (working we assume), when she saw the ghost of her daughter. The ghost looked at her quite sternly and told her to stop grieving because she was in a much better place.
