At some point during the 1800’s, a woman named Mrs Evans saw the apparition of a “tall, dark man with a long beard” enter the house, and set about removing his hat and placing his riding whip down before entering another room. A short while later he came back out and left. The experience left her shaken up. However, at the time she was pregnant.

 

Unfortunately for Mrs Evans, some time later she had a miscarriage. When a doctor was sent for, who should arrive, but the exact same person she thought was a ghost some time before. Although the doctor could do nothing for the child, at least he was able to save Mrs Evans.
