Llandudno, Conwy, Wales

A view of Llandudno

Gloddaeth Hall

The woods surrounding the building have a dark reputation, said to be home to a “malevolent, unearthly being”.

It was described a being “nude, with eyes burning like fire” with the ability to hold any person transfixed with its stare.

The hall, pictured left courtesy of William Howard, now forms part of St David's College.

Penrhyn Old Hall

Penrhyn Old Hall (pictured left by Noel Walley) has a fascinating past, and some of its events are still said to linger here. In a field below the house, a priest was drawn and quartered following a failed plot to put to death protestants in the area. His screams are said to pierce the air.

Evidence of the event was discovered some time ago when an old trunk was opened. It contained a number of objects - including a withered hand! There are reports of a “lost and sad figure of a shadowy and slow-moving form” sighted in the vicinity of Penrhyn Old Hall.
