The Ghostly Travellers

A stream near to Tyntwll Farm was said to be haunted by the ghost of a traveller who was murdered there many years ago. It was only after his gold was found by the farmer did the apparition seem to disappear. The apparition of a female haunted the nearby area in similar circumstances to the murdered traveller above. We do not know the exact circumstances of her death, but she seemed to want to impart the whereabouts of treasure. Only when it was found, did she stop haunting the spot.

Coedygadfa

Coedygadfa translates as “Wood of the Battle”, and that is where the army of Prince Llywelyn was obliterated by Henry III in 1244. It was said shortly afterwards to be haunted by those that were killed there. The spirits took the form of “little elves”.
