Plas Teg

Plas Teg

Plas Teg (Fair Mansion) is said to be Flintshire’s “most celebrated haunted house”, with the ghost of a little girl who apparently drowned in a well. Another ghost is that of her distraught lover who hung himself after he could not bear to live without her. There are also reports of an unseen presence in one of the bedrooms, and audible phenomena at various parts of the building. Three phantom horsemen, strange lights, and eerie shrieks frequent the wooded area around the house. The dual carriageway that runs past Plas Teg has been the scene of reports of two apparitions – that of a figure of a woman, and also the “semi-transparent” knight in armour riding on horseback.
