Cader Idris (pictured above) translates as The Chair of Idris, and this beautiful mountain is renowned for its legend and lore. Idris was said to be a giant, and has been linked to the Arthurian legend. It is believed that anyone who sleeps on Cader Idris will awake as either a bard or a madman. There are also tales of fairies and elves living in the caves of the great mountain.
