The church (pictured above) was once said to be haunted by the ghost of a man in a “three-cocked hat” who exhibited some rather bizarre behaviour (for a ghost...) - he would stand up during church services, spin the staves, and was reportedly said to light up the interior at night! He was eventually laid to rest by being cast into Llyn-y-Geulan-Goch, a nearby river.
