Lydart, Monmouthshire, Wales

The former Gocket Inn

The Gocket Inn

The tearful ghost of a young woman reputedly haunts this 300-year-old former inn. She has been seen standing at one of the windows. It is said she is mourning the loss of her lover, who was lost at sea.

It is known to have operated as an inn since at least the 17th century and to have been used by drovers, but closed down around 2003 and is now a private house.
