Trellech

The Road to Bigsweir

There have been reports that a phantom coach and horses haunt the road from Trellech to Bigsweir.

Nine Wells

There were at one time nine wells in Trellech, but according to the author Coxe only four remain. The purpose of these wells was both to cure ailments and to make wishes. Fairies were said to frequent the area on Midsummer’s Eve.
