The Steelworks

A monk dressed in black is said to haunt the site of the Llanwern Steelworks and surrounding area. According to reports, steelworkers will not enter the area known as Monksditch at night or when alone.

 

The monk is thought to be an evil presence.

Llanwern is a village in the eastern urban-rural fringe of the City of Newport, Wales.

The M4 and Langstone bound Llanwern to the north, Ringland, Liswerry and the River Usk to the west, the River Severn to the south and the city boundary to the east.
