The Cross Keys Public House

The Cross Keys Public House is nearly over 500 years old and is haunted by a number of apparitions.

These include that of a Cavalier with a “neatly pointed beard” wearing a plumed hat and cloak who was murdered nearby; a grey lady sitting in the inglenook fireplace; a man in a 1930’s style brown suit believed to be a previous landlord.

Paranormal research groups have reported a number of other apparitions and “blue lights” within the premises. Objects have also been known to move of their own volition.

Pictured left is the Cross Keys Public House courtsey of J.Thomas.
