Coxe states that the sounds of phantom ponies are heard through Petticoat Lane to Throwleigh village, along with the "rush of wind" which is felt as they pass you by unseen.

The ghosts of four cavaliers have been seen in the house – playing cards! This is said to refer to a time when the owner of the manor house gambled with the deeds to the property, and ultimately lost it. The unseen hands of another ghost is said to tuck them into bed. However, we are not too sure if that is something to make you feel entirely at ease… It is believed that Wonson Manor is a private dwelling and NOT OPEN to the public.
