Old Clibbon’s Post

Old Clibbon’s Post marks the spot where a band of robbers and murderers met their end. Since that time, people walking in the area of the post have reportedly heard the sound of a horse dragging something. The sounds travel along the road towards the post, beneath which lie the remains of the leader of the gang, Walter Clibbon. However, some have reported seeing a phantom horse dragging a body along the road.
