Saint Mary's, Happisburgh

Happisburgh Beach

Happisburgh Beach is reputedly haunted by a rather grisley ghost - that of a murdered smuggler.

According to Coxe, the apparition is a legless torso and it's head hangs down its back, suspended from a single piece of flesh. A second phantom, the Long Coastguard walks the coast at midnight in the direction of Mundesley. His wild laughter echoes on the night winds.
