The Knights Lodge

The Knights Lodge was originally a manor house. It dates back to the 17th century.

The pub is allegedly the haunt of a phantom monk, which some believe is connected to Pipewell Abbey. According to newspaper headlines some years ago, this ghost has been behaving inappropriately with the female staff, by pinching and tickling them, as well as lifting skirts.
