The Swansgate Centre

The Swansgate Centre

The site of the Swansgate Centre (pictured above) was once partially occupied by the Lyric Cinema. Over the years its name and purpose changed, eventually closing its doors on 26th April 1975, and the building was demolished three weeks later in the middle of May 1975. The site became part of the new Arndale shopping centre, now known as the Swansgate Centre. However, the ghost of a man called Daniel who had died on that spot long before that had been built had haunted the Lyric Cinema. His apparition frequented the balcony area. Does Daniel continue to haunt the Swansgate Centre?
