Epsom, Surrey, England

High Street

Pitt Place

Pitt Place was a grand house that once stood between the Racecourse and the town centre. It was home to the infamous Lord Lyttleton.

Both Matthews and Poole provide accounts of the incident at Pitt Place, whereby Lyttleton saw the apparition of a woman who foretold his imminent death. Three days later, the prophecy was fulfilled.
