Beaumaris Castle

Beaumaris Grammar School

Its founder, David Hughes, reputedly haunted the school. His apparition was reported in the sleeping quarters of pupils and around other parts of the school premises. For some actual accounts of the apparition, we can do no more than point you in the direction of "Haunted Wales" by Richard Holland.

Henllys Hall

Henllys Hall was rebuilt by Joseph Hansom (of ‘Hansom Cab’ fame) in 1852. He also designed the most impressive Victorian crescent facing the sea front in the town of Beaumaris. It is now an hotel.

A White Lady once supposedly haunted the building. She disappeared after she revealed the location of hidden treasure. It is possible that she is the same apparition that has been reported in the surrounding countryside.
