The road to Brynteg

Cadir-y-bwgan

Cadir-y-bwgan (translates as The Haunted Chair) lies a short distance from Brynteg, along the road to Maenaddwyn. It is actually an unusually shaped boulder and looks as if someone has come along with a big spoon and taken a scoop out of it. It is said to be haunted by a ‘terrible phantom’ that has targeted animals, dairies and farms!
