Plas Newydd

On the Langford Road there was an inn called Plas Newydd. During the 19th century it was known locally as ‘the English House’, due to the fact that it was often used by English travellers stopping en route to Ireland. It was said to have a resident poltergeist.

South Stack Lighthouse

The South Stack Lighthouse is built on the summit of a small island off the north-west coast of Anglesey. It was built in 1809 to warn ships of the dangerous rocks below. The lighthouse is operated remotely by Trinity House.

The lighthouse is reputedlt very haunted. Phenomena include the sounds of footsteps and tapping on windows. The lighthouse doors has been seen "rattling furiously".
