Stable at Bodafon

Lon y Bwbach

Lon y Bwbach translates as ‘Lane of the Spook’ - and the place is named so after the murder of a man named Griffiths during the Civil War in the 1640’s. Griffiths was avoiding the Parliamentarian forces as he made his way from his home at Plas Llanddyfnan, but was trapped and slaughtered in the lane, resulting in the reported presence at the location. However, there may be an alternative identity for the tale… Another source states that the ghost is that of a Lady Gwenllian. Whoever the ghost is, it is allegedly unseen by humans, but animals are reportedly strangely affected in the area.
