According to sources, a White Lady is said to haunt the border of Bridgend and the village of Ewenny. Her frequent visits led to the spots she haunted being named White Lady Meadow and White Lady Lane. Witnesses state that she appeared distressed, as she was seen wringing her hands.

 

Some have suggested that she knows the whereabouts of treasure or she committed a crime in the vicinity and was bound to walk the earth as her punishment.
