Bargoed Police Station (pictured above) is an old building that comprises of offices, old cells and the former Magistrates Court. Some past employees did not like being in there alone at night. Some reported the sounds of footsteps upstairs when nobody was there. Others have seen a shadowy figure pass in front of them on the top corridor.

Bargoed (Welsh: Bargod) is a town in the Rhymney Valley, Wales.

It lies on the Rhymney River in the county borough of Caerphilly and straddles ancient boundary of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire. 'Greater Bargoed', as defined by the local authority Caerphilly County Borough Council, consists of the towns of Bargoed, Aberbargoed and the village of Gilfach.
